The NAVIO knee robot is used for procedures where the whole knee is not replaced.<\/p>\n<p>During the surgery, the patient\u2019s anatomy is loaded in a digital format. The surgeon processes this three-dimensional data, which is unique to the patient, onto a computer to determine the most suitable prosthesis components for the patient\u2019s anatomy. The device\u2019s software detects the patient\u2019s anatomical knee structure and assists the surgeon in placing implants in the most suitable and balanced form by creating an image of the soft tissue balanced with mathematical values.<\/p>\n<p>The NAVIO device\u2019s advanced three-dimensional technology transforms the patient\u2019s anatomical features into a virtual surgical plan. The device enables a standard mechanical shaving plan for deteriorated cartilaginous tissue to be checked in virtual form on the robot\u2019s computer and changed, if necessary, without making an incision.
