About Pyxis

Pyxis is an automated medication management system designed to increase patient safety and efficiency. It improves nursing and pharmacy staff collaboration. It electronically generates patient medication lists and displays the status of orders. The system includes a fingerprint verification function, electronic tracking, and documentation that protects patient files from unauthorized access.

The traditional medication system, which is inefficient and error-prone, increases both risks and costs. However, many medication errors, such as incomplete information, allergies, misdosing and sound-alike drugs, can be prevented through the use of electronic medication management systems. It has been proven that automating medication use not only helps solve traditional medication problems, but also improves clinical and operational results.

In 2006, Acıbadem implemented an electronic medication management system for the first time.
